Rama leaves the apartment block with Bowo and Wahyu, while Andi returns to the apartment. However, Andi refuses, claiming that he is beyond saving. Rama asked to Andi to leave the apartment with him. The final scenes of the movie were about Andi handing out to Rama all the list of known corrupt officers. However, he ran out of bullet at that very moment. After Wahyu learned about the whole corruption and realized that his bravery and actions are meaningless, he then shot Tama in the head and attempted to shoot himself. While being held hostage by Wahyu, Tama states the depth of corruption in their own police force. However, Wahyu suddenly shoots Dagu and takes Tama as hostage as a ticket for his escape. He then announced that he will give free residence to anyone who can kill the remaining SWAT members. Tama then cut off the power to the building. Tama calls reinforcements that took out most of the Swat members. The choreographed fights are all intense and realistic with the climatic showdown towards the last half hour of the film being the best sequences filmed on camera. The Raid: Redemption movie is about Rama and some 20 Swat officers who are tasked to secure an apartment block. All I can say that follows is a orgy of brutal, bloody and intense arm-breaking, leg-snapping, hammer stomping, bat swinging, blade slashing, head blowing, bullet-loaded and arse kicking violence in a dash of Tarantino and Scorsese story-telling in its plot.
I can honestly say that myself, my friend who tagged along and the audience were very very entertained! The plot continues 2 hours after the events of the first film, it places our hero into another intense mission to stop the baddies by going undercover for a special unit and blending in with the mob who's on the verge of war with their rivals. I was lucky enough to attend a special screening of 'The Raid 2' in Sydney last night, it was a big crowd for a small event with everyone excited for the film to begin.
